In observance of World Heart Day 2024, the "Heart Disease Prevention Awareness Program and Basic Life Support (CPR) Training Support," organized by Dr. Om Foundation at the National Cardiac Centre (NCC), aimed to raise awareness about heart disease and equip participants with essential skills in Basic Life Support (BLS), CPR techniques, and emergency response. Around 250 individuals, including 50 armed police officers, attended the session, which featured informative presentations on heart disease prevention, risk factors, and early detection. The program emphasized the importance of immediate action in heart-related emergencies and the life-saving impact of timely CPR. Participants were trained to respond confidently and efficiently in emergency situations, ensuring they are better prepared to handle heart-related crises in their communities.
